About

My individualized, comprehensive treatments include psychotherapy, research-backed complementary and alternative approaches, and medication when needed. I work with people facing personal, academic, and professional challenges, like coping with intense emotions, feeling down, experiencing anxiety or stress, suffering from trauma, having trouble in relationships, or struggling with focus and organization. If you or your teenager are having a hard time, call, text or email me to start a conversation. Everyone is welcome. I am here to help. My treatments draw on proven psychotherapies, including: supportive and psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). In addition to prescribed medications, I use research-backed complementary and alternative approaches, such as broad spectrum micronutrients, individual vitamins, amino acids, other supplements, light therapy, exercise, and mindfulness. My research, conducted at Columbia University and the New York State Psychiatric Institute, has focused on structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in children with Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. I have also written articles about suicide risk among college students and training psychiatrists to help their most challenging patients. My work has been published in The Lancet Psychiatry, Molecular Psychiatry, and Psychodynamic Psychiatry.
